5 HEALTHY SNACKS YOU MUST HAVE IN YOUR KITCHEN
When it comes to clean eating there are a few snacks that are necessary to have. We will be sharing some of our favorites with you. These are great sources of protein, fibers, minerals and vitamins!
1. ALMONDS
A quick on the go and healthy snack you can always count on are almonds. Almonds carry protein, fiber and are also low on sugar. Simply eating them alone or mixing them up by adding your favorite fruit, is a great way to keep it tasty and healthy.
2. RICE CAKES
These little guys are low in fat, calories and also come in a variety of flavors so you have more than one option to choose from. They are a good source of fiber, which helps lowering risks of having digestive problems. You can add anything from peanut butter, almond butter, cottage cheese, fresh fruits, yogurt, and avocado, basically anything that’s to your liking.
3. CELERY STICKS
Who said greens couldn’t be considered a snack? Veggies are important when keeping a healthy lifestyle. Celery carries a variety of nutrients and has dietary fibers. It is said that the more celery you eat the better, because of its dietary fibers it helps with digestion and weight loss. How convenient is that!
4. GREEK YOGURT
Now we know everyone loves yogurt, but greek yogurt is the healthier option when in doubt of which type of yogurt to purchase. It has a richer, thicker texture to it and doesn’t contain the extra sugar most yogurts do. Aside from having less sugar it has double the amount of protein too.
5. BANANAS
Last but not least we include bananas. These are full of essential vitamins and potassium. The best part is that you can eat or mix them up with so many things. You can use them in shakes, protein pancake mixes, cereal or even your greek yogurt!
